BY PLANE

Visitors of Brno can use the international Airport Brno-Tuřany, which provides regular flights to Prague, London (Stansted), Milan and Munich. The Brno Airport is connected with the city centre by regular bus transport (aprox. 20 minutes, the price is less than 1 €) – Schedule for buses. A taxi from the airport will cost around 15 €.

BY TRAIN AND COACH

Brno is an important rail junction and all Eurocity trains stop in Brno. The distance from Prague to Brno is 256 kilometres, from Vienna 155 kilometres, from Bratislava 132 kilometres, from Berlin 566 kilometres and from Wroclaw 312 kilometres. The Central railway station is located in the centre of Brno, a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre.
There are also numerous coach lines from many European cities.

BY CAR

Brno is located on the main Czech highway D1 and D2. For highways a toll is charged. The toll sticker can be purchased at border crossings, petrol stations, post offices and in motor clubs, it costs around 12 €.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION – CITY OF BRNO

City transport in Brno will bring you from the city centre (Main Train Station) to the Hotel Continental by tram no. 5, 6 or 12, you should get off at the station Česká and then 8 minutes walk (see the map). The standard ticket for 15 minutes costs less than 1 €, for 60 minutes 1 €, whole day ticket costs around 3 €, ticket for 3 days costs 15 €.

LONGTERM LOCKOUT BRNO MAIN TRAIN STATION

ATTENTION! Due to longterm lockout of train station Brno Hlavní nádraží from 9.12.2018 our trains will not stop at station Brno Hl. nádraží. You can get off the train at Brno-Zidenice and use local train to Brno, Hl. nádraží or alternatively you can get off at Brno, Dolni nadrazi and switch to free local line No.61, which will take you to Brno, Hl. nadrazi for free.

You can also use Taxi, but it is more expensive than public transport (1 kilometre costs more than 1 €).
